Bericht aus Warschau I

Die Busse des Warschauer Pakts sind angekommen, die deutschen Teilnehmer sammeln sich und werden in etwa 15 Minuten Richtung Startpunkt der "Parade der Gleichheit" losmarschieren!
Die Stadt strahlt eine erstaunlich gelöste Stimmung aus. Miko, unser polnischer Begleiter und Übersetzer, berichtet von netten Begegnungen nach dem gestrigen Depeche Mode Konzert im "Klub Skarpa" (wo heute übrigens auch Jimmy Somerville auf der "After Party" des CSD singen wird).
In der Gegend des Hotels (im nordwestlichen Teil des Zentrums) sind bereits viele Teilnehmer aus Deutschland unterwegs, auch Finnen haben wir schon getroffen. Etwas besonderes ist noch nicht passiert, außer ein paar irritierten Blicken Warschauer Marktfrauen.
Die Bevölkerung ist aufgeklärt - alle Zeitungen berichten groß über die Parade und viele machen die große internationale Beteiligung zur Hauptschlagzeile (neben dem für Polen tragischen Ausgang des gestrigen WM-Spiels). So berichtet die Tageszeitung "Dziennik", ein vom Springer-Verlag herausgegebenes Pendant zur "Welt kompakt", in einem durchaus freundlichen Artikel über einen Besuch in der Redaktion der Berliner "Siegessäule" und porträtiert einen der Initiatoren des Warschauer Pakts 2006, Chefredakteur Holger Wicht (über unseren Plan, friedlich durch Warschau zu marschieren und sein Interesse an Kosmetik).
Das ebenfalls zu Springer gehörende Boulevard-Blatt "Fakt" berichtet entgegen früherer Meldungen, dass es doch eine Gegendemo geben wird. Nach Aussage unseres Polenkenners handelt es sich dabei aber um eher friedliche Demonstranten, die sich unter dem passenden Banner "Parade für Frieden" versammeln. Ein Schelm, wer böses dabei denkt...
Die Gefahr besteht, wie die Veranstalter der Parade nach Erfahrungen aus den letzten Jahren befürchten, eher durch kleine Grüppchen am Rande, von denen Gewalt gegen die "Parade der Gleichheit" ausgehen könnte.
Die Demonstration ist allerdings weiterhin legal und wird von 2500 Polizisten geschützt.
Soviel zur Situation im Vorfeld der Demo. Vom Hotel Mercure aus machen sich jetzt alle auf den Weg zu Parlament, dem Startpunkt der Demo.
